LOOK Caroline's Room Tour

I have wanted Caroline's canopy bed for awhile, but it was too expensive.  I saw it on Facebook Marketplace $75.  

 Caroline can sleep sweetly in her elegant wooden bed. It features:

Four turned posts and a lacy white canopy, popular styles in her day

• A butter-yellow, wool-blend bedspread is embroidered with a delicate floral pattern 
• A tufted mattress and soft pillow rest on ropes instead of springs. If the ropes loosened, Caroline would have pulled them to “sleep tight”

It came with Cecile's desk, vanity with the pitcher and bowl set and Rebecca's Settee. 

When I went to pick it up, the lady said she decided to throw in Carolina's skiff at no cost!  Wow, what a deal!

Papa built this beautiful wooden skiff at the family’s shipyard—Caroline loves to go sailing with him on Lake Ontario. Papa even named the boat “Miss Caroline” after her—and painted it right on the side!

True to her era, it features:

Two seats to fit a pair of dolls, plus a mast with a canvas sail.

Winning Autographed Caroline Books

Kathleen Ernst had a drawing for six hard back first editions of Caroline books and I was one of the winners. She autographed them for me.

Tutorial - How to Curl Caroline's Hair

 

I am responding to a LADL member who needed help with Caroline curls. I find it easy to smooth out curls with an unused, clean toothbrush.

 

This toothbrush should only be used for brushing the doll's hair.  I start by brushing a section of Caroline hair one section at a time. Once each section is brushed out, take the ends of the hair in that section starting at the bottom and twist the hair while attached to the bristles of the wire brush counter clockwise until a curl ringlet forms. 

Gently release brush using your fingers and repeat for each section. Use the toothbrush to brush tiny flyaway hair, or use it to smooth hair for up dos.

Hope this helps. I did this without water detailing at the bottom and working my way up each section. Spray a little water on hair if too dry or frizzy and begin.

Caroline's table and chairs are Springfield. Her backdrop is DIY.

Caroline is an AG doll (2012).

The space is small and functionally limited. I own AG clothing for Caroline and her birthday set. I never decided to buy any large furniture pieces.

The entire space is 32" wide by 24" in depth.

*REVIEW* White Regency Dress - Etsy

I love this new dress.  It fits Caroline perfectly.  Make sure your fingernails are smooth as I snagged a sleeve with a rough nail. This dress is so well made and has a zipper instead of Velcro.

The dress was $30 from Doll Connections on etsy. It sells up to $100 online elsewhere. 

I think it looks so beautiful on Caroline.

Caroline wears her finest gown on Christmas Day. Make sure she's festive and fancy in this outfit, which features:
