Charlie Brown's Christmas, In June?? The Peanuts Gang

"So what's up Chuck?!"
The ever fashionable Peppermint Patti asks Charlie Brown.

"I believe they're reading a Christmas book, sir" said Marci.

"A Christmas book, Chuck?! In June?!" stumped Peppermint Patti isn't quite sure what more to say.

"Perhaps they are trying to feel cooler in this hot weather, sir", explains Marci.

"Well, I'm all for that, Chuck! Lead the way to more Winter Wonderland!"

*Article* ‘American Girl’: Gwendoline Yeo To Star In Amazon’s Special ‘Ivy & Julie 1976: A Happy Balance’

Ivy & Julie is set in 1976 San Francisco and centers around 10-year-old Ivy, a Chinese-American girl who struggles with finding a balance between her two cultural identities: Chinese and American.

Yeo will play Marilyn Ling, a strict, but loving mother to Ivy. As a first-generation Chinese-American, Marilyn raises her three children to embrace Chinese traditions and values. Between being the perfect mom and acing her law classes, Marilyn in many ways can relate to Ivy and her struggle to find balance. The special will follow Ivy, her family’s Chinese traditions and obligations, and how she wishes to be like her all-American best friend, Julie Albright. When her gymnastics tournament and family’s big Chinese New Year dinner land on the same day, Ivy relies on Julie to guide her with a difficult choice.

*In Store Report* AG Closing Hawaii Test Store - Ala Moana Center

The 3,000-square-foot boutique was designed to test the waters in the Honolulu market to see if the market could support a permanent American Girl store.  About one-third the size of American Girl’s regular stores, the shop at the Ala Moana Center opened last October and closed in April.

The site was intended to be temporary from the start, Parks said, “to determine the success/viability of an American Girl store in the Hawaiian market, a top tourist destination.”

She said the company was “pleased with the overall performance” but has no plans at this point to set up a permanent American Girl store in Hawaii.

The store, which is located on the second level of the mall’s Ewa Wing between Kate Spade New York and Ben Bridge Timeworks, is scheduled to close on April 26 or earlier, depending on how its closing sale goes.

The Wisconsin-based company opened stores in Arizona and Tennessee last year, and expanded into Canada in October 2013.
The company has sold more than 147 million American Girl books and more than 25 million dolls since its inception in 1986, according to its website.
The American Girl catalog is one of the largest consumer toy catalogs in the United States, and ranks as one of the top 30 consumer catalogs in the country.

*Opening* Surprise Package of Doll Goodies

One of my subscribers sent me a package!
She is a teen who loves AG dolls. Her collection consists of Felicity, Kit , Ruthie and a recent MyAG rescue. She makes adorable photo story videos of her dolls.

I was so touched when I opened this beautiful package of clothes and doll goodies that she made her self!

The package had three different cotton skirts and when I saw this one I KNEW it would be great for Josie.

This chevron print maxi skirt looks so great on Julie and it's versatile!

This skirt is SO versatile! I can't wait to use it with mix and match pieces for my modern girls. (Hair bow was included).

Sam is known for being a "snacker", so it's no wonder where these  doll cookies went!

Also included were these super groovy, fuzzy soft, purple pillows that match Julie's room perfectly! Great for lounging.

Such a sweet surprise, felt like a birthday or something! I love all of these items and have use of everything.
Thank you AGDream!!
