The other night we went to check out the MLA collection to see if any other new items had been added to our local, Canadian Walmart. And, lo and behold—Surprise Party boxes!
They
had a crate of these little pink boxes filled with doll accessories for
one of five party themes. The box states that there is a rare, mystical
party theme to be found—and includes some shadow graphics that suggest
some themes are candy-, cupcake- or unicorn-based. Each box has 8 to 19
doll-sized surprises inside! Avery had to have one!
There
were also some blue Pet Surprise boxes available in a neighboring
crate, but we did not purchase one. (Next time!)
Avery was so excited to open up the
box. Out poured three sealed plastic bags and a cardboard diamond box
and some glittery confetti. A great start! No instructions or theme
checklists, however.
She opened the diamond box first and was delighted to find two test tubes filled with plastic candies inside.
Next up was a bag that revealed two science beakers with crazy straws
and two sheets of science-themed stickers! Yes!! A science party! Avery
was delighted!
The next envelope revealed a colorful bow
tie, a party banner (featuring elements from the periodic table) and two
molecule-shaped cookies!
Last envelope produced a pair of crazy-eye, green, rubber lab goggles.
What
as awesome party box! And all for $12.99. Such cool and fun
accessories. We’ll definitely have to get another box to see if we can
find that rare and mystical (unicorn?) theme.
Naturally, Avery
had to set up a party scene for her scientist dolls to show off her new
gear.
