DIY - Samantha's Ice Cream Parlor (How to Make Tutorial)

This tutorial is for the younger group who want Tyson's  $300 Ice Cream Parlor or for large families on a budget!



Supplies:
  • Foam board - cut 23" H x 15" W
  • Pink Marble scrapbook paper (or pink paint)
  • Marble scrapbook paper (or gray, white paint)
  • Mirror scrapbook paper
  • Rectangle shaped box 9" H x 15" W (Boot, Photo or Cereal box)
  • 2 Paper towel tubes or wooden dowels
  • White paper 
  • Metallic gold paint - for accents
  • Glue - I used white craft glue and hot glue

I made a Tyson's sign and a menu that you can print out and add to your project.

  1. Very nice! I was thinking if you actually wanted ice cream in those "dispensers", you could cut round holes in the flat part where the plates are setting, put in paper cups, and sculpt some ice-cream scoops and cones out of sculpey or Model Magic. And maybe also glue small bottle caps or beads to those plates so they can be removed and replaced. But definitely a less expensive alternative! Nice work.

  6. I am extremely grateful for your post on this one. I wanted real bad that ice cream parlor cause I am a big Samantha fan and an adult AG collector, but I wasn't really sure if I would able to get it because of the price and was seriously thinking if I could do it, but didn't have an idea or a clue how to accomplish it. You gave me not only an idea on how I could pull this out, but you gave me an inspiration, and right now I am doing mine and it's turning out pretty well.
