*REVIEW* AG Ultimate Visual Guide (Book)

I found the new book at Costco for $14.99 very nicely bound and so many pictures, it includes Melody.  It very nicely tells the journey of the AG dolls through pictures and highlights special sets.  This is the cover and it comes off to become a poster.

As I looked carefully throughout the book I only noticed a few items not released so here they are:
Hair dryer station for the Spa, new purple phone and possibly a stand? Look carefully in the back for a Spa station table as well.

Some new outfits and tops possibly mix and match since that is the trend now.

Inside there is a section for pets and accessories cut outs I have not opened it.

  1. I love it. I need. I wish I had a Costco Card.

  2. Okay so the second picture is old outfits and the blue top is actually from a PJ set and the pants are from last years mix and match set. The other jean outfit is new. There's two new pets including a cat. I'm wondering HF there will be one more release or not around Oct. because they still haven't released Kits outfit, Rebecca's outfit, Sam's possible new holiday dress (she has nothing rn) the winter fox TM pjs, and this stuff.

  3. Is that a pajama top with the orange pants in the next to last picture? Is that a different book than the one Rhonda has in the post below this or a different cover on the same book? Madelon

  4. Some Costcos will let you make a purchase but add a ten percent surcharge if you aren't a member. Madelon

  5. No these are not new clothes. Just confusing how they are mixed & matched. The German Shepherd Puppy I believe is new, but the dog on the cover & the gray kitten are pets that have been available at Costco for awhile now. Hopefully AG will eventually sell those pets as they did the Pomeranian because my Costco never has them.

  6. Great looking book. Wonder if this is AG's way of celebrating their 30 years? Does anyone know of any other ways the company will remember 30 years of success? The mini dolls seem a little disappointing of a reminder, especially to fans who have been there since 1986.

  7. In the Spa picture, the chair the doll is sitting in under the hair dryer looks like it has a silver cushion on a pink chair. Would this be attached to the dryer? I would like a hair dryer & chair but not hot pink and silver! Sharon

  8. Allot of the props in the pictures are simply crafted items, and the purple phone or unreleased outfits could also be prototypes.

    1. Yeah, it's actually a very common Mattel practice to see prototypes and alternate versions of released items as background props in their toy photography that Mattel has no intention of ever releasing as items available for purchase.

You see it a lot in Barbie.
