Finally, after a long wait American Girl, a subsidiary of Mattel, Inc. confirmed the dates of it's arrival in Mexico. Opening for the first time American Girl in El Palacio de Hierro, with luxury department stores in Mexico.

The boutiques will be within El Palacio de Hierro and Perisur Interlomas beginning July 4, 2015, and offer a careful selection of dolls from current collections Girl of the Year and Truly Me.

The new boutiques will also sell American Girl books, the film Girl of the Year 2015 and the magazine American Girl®, all available in Spanish.

American Girl also offers various recreational activities ranging from new accessories, pampering your doll with a new hairstyle at the beauty salon, or even better, dressing like their American Girl doll.

*UPDATE NEWS* AGP Mexico Opening July 2015

American Girl is opening several stores this summer — including its first shops in Mexico.

In July, the company will open two in-store boutiques in Mexico City as part of a partnership with El Palacio de Hierro, an upscale department store chain in Mexico. The small shops within the stores will have a limited selection of American Girl dolls, clothing for dolls and girls, and American Girl books translated into Spanish, as well as the company’s popular doll hair salon, company spokeswoman Julie Parks said.

A third boutique store in Mexico City is expected to open in late fall.

As reported back in October 2014, AGP is expanding into Mexico. 

"We are excited to become American Girl's exclusive partner for the Mexican market, launching for spring 2015. We have an aggressive growth strategy for the next years, launching not only shop-in-shop boutiques but a whole experience for the Mexican girls. I truly believe that the American Girl concept and its exceptional value will resonate with the Mexican consumer," said Ernesto Izquierdo, commercial director from El Palacio de Hierro.  

The first two American Girl shop-in-shop boutiques will open in summer 2015 at El Palacio de Hierro's Perisur.

Followed by Interlomas locations in Mexico City, followed by a third boutique at the Polanco location in fall 2015.
