*NEWS* Glitter Girls - Chapters Indigo - Canada

Got a holiday toy catalogue in from Chapters Indigo today (which Avery promptly started a Christmas list from and which Brooke is now perusing herself!) This is the same store that sells American Girl/Wellie Wishers here in Canada. And, what should I see? Glitter Girls! They are available from Indigo and very reasonably priced at $29.99. Avery has already picked one that she would like to ask Santa for! 

No Glitter Girls accessories were shown in the catalogue, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have them in store. Now that I know where to find them, I’ll have to go and see them in person! Stay tuned for more!

*RUMOR* Next BeForever Doll to Retire

The RUMORED next doll to archive is....drum roll please.....

Michelle says Canadian Store Chapters is selling Addy $95 CAD on clearance, making room for Melody. Rumor is there will be no more orders or stock of Addy dolls once sold. Not sure if USA stores will follow.

Also speculation is that Felicity Merriman is next in line to make a possible return.

Canadian readers will receive new Truly Me releases late March, but can look forward to the new Spring PWP which is a dress, purple bracelet and aqua headband starting Feb. 11th.

The store is in downtown Vancouver, BC in Indigos book store. Second floor. The street is Broadway and Granville.

*NEWS* Grand Opening AG Boutique - Indigo Granville, Vancouver

Save the date, Vancouver - you're invited! We're having a three day, fun filled Grand Opening event next weekend! We hope you'll join us in celebrating our completed renovations, the opening of our American Girl Boutique, and our name change (we're Indigo Granville now!!). 

Details on our event are as follows:

We kick off the weekend on Friday, June 12th (from 4:30pm – 7pm) with our Member Exclusive and Media night! Expect live music, gourmet food sampling, and exciting contests! 

Saturday, June 13th (from 11am-4pm) is our American Girl & IndigoKids Celebration. We will have fun promos and giveaways, as well as a very special storytime at 11am with a very special guest - Pete the Cat in full costume! At 2pm we will be joined by children’s author Ashley Spires (The Most Magnificent Thing) for a book signing! 

Last but not least, is our Sunday, June 14th (from 11am-4pm) Book Lover Experience! Join us for live jazz and two special book signings! At 12pm, a book signing and pastry demo with David Robertson (Dirty Apron Cookbook) and at 2pm, a book signing with David Nunuk (Vancouver Light: Visions of a City)!

The busy Chapters book store in downtown Vancouver is shuttering this summer, its owner announced Monday.

Indigo Books & Music said it decided to close the popular Robson Street Chapters on June 30 due to increasing rent.

“The new terms are simply untenable for us to stay in that location,” CEO Heather Reisman said in a statement. “As a result, we are actively pursuing another location to serve the Robson trade area which we fully intend to open in 2015.”

An American Girl Specialty Boutique that recently opened up in the store is being moved to the Chapters on Broadway and Granville Street.

There are no plans to close that location, according to Indigo.
Indigo said its human resources department is working with staff at the Robson Chapters to support them through the closure.

*In Store Report* Chapters Books Robson Flagship Store Closing Down

Indigo Books & Music Inc. has announced that it is closing its Vancouver Robson Street flagship location on June 30. Victim of a “very significant rent increase made continued profitability untenable.” Indigo says it will open another location in the “same Vancouver trade area” this year, though an exact location has not been revealed.
