That's really a drag, Rhonda. It seems like this stuff keeps happening to you. I was watching your video, and you know, w/ the coloring and style, it almost looks like a 70s dress. I know I had dresses w/ the Peter Pan collar and flowers. I bet it would look cute on Julie.
What in the world is going on with AG and quality control?!?! After seeing this and your Josefina doll problems, I'm going to go through all the stuff I've bought recently and examine it much closer just to be safe.
What a disappointment! The peace of mind with quality is one of the top reasons i can justify the cost of American Girl products. Another being customer service, so although they'll gladly send a replacement, it's alarming that they even have to. These last to items seem to have blatant flaws, and like Flo, i will now be inspecting the items I've ordered and received. I used to just trust that defects and damaged items would never fall through the quality control cracks and make its way to such loyal consumers. Alas, a dent in the AG armour. I do hope they expedite your replacements in a timely manner. Sorry for the let down.
Wow! It seems like your having a lot of trouble w/ AG products right now! First Josie, and now this, I'm so sorry. I think AG's quality has gone down a lot recently, especially w/ some of the BeForever products. It's sad to think of all the amazing quality things that were being made 10/20 years ago, I think AG had great potential w/ BeForever. Too bad they didn't live up to it. H.M.
Awe Rhonda! That's such a bummer! :( A few months ago I purchased one of Isabelle's tutu and had the same issue in the same exact spot, right by the velcro. I bought it in a story so I only had to exchange it but I was still annoyed. You've really made me think about double checking my items before I leave the store.
Wow, that dress looks pretty tough! It actually looks kind of faded. I haven't seen the dress in person yet, but thought it was more vibrant than that. I've never had any AG clothing come to me with a defect that glaring. In fact, I've never had a problem … the weirdest thing I've ever seen is a long thread on the crown of Isabelles head, and a bit of a wonky eye. And to be fair, a wonky eye in Cecile too. Just seems "loose".
It doesn't look the same color as in the stock photos. Oh well. I have to wait until my CM package ships back to AG from the Post Office and then ships to me because it shipped to my old address.
