I am beginning to like BeForever. It proves that AG isn't trying to ruin their beloved historical line, they are simply just trying to make it more fresh. I like it now. :)
Yep, that looks like one of those 70s stereo egg chairs. I wonder if it will actually have sound? I hope so. And a phone! It's about time! But I know this stuff will be really expensive. *sigh* But I have to say, as someone who is the same age as Julie, kids did not wear leather headbands in 1974. I hope they'll be more period accurate improvements to Julie's line.
I think the egg chair are part of Julie's NEW bedroom accessories. I wonder what else they'll have? 70s backdrops would be nice. And a school set (not just a lunchbox), and a TV set. (I know I have one, but I mean for everyone else!) And I'm still hoping for new records for the record player.
Julies outfit is coming home the first weekend. Its my anniversary and rhat is on the list. I would live to have a phone. I like the girl version of Sams dress and Kayas sweater. That tea set is coming home too.
Overall, very exciting! The only thing I'm not crazy about is Julie's new meet outfit. I think her current one is very historically correct. Kit's new meet dress is SO cute. And it looks as though Samantha is going to come back in a pink dress. Works for me!
I'm still on the fence (mostly because I couldn't turn up the volume to hear what the people were saying - watched at work).
It looked to me as if each doll was going to be relegated to one color scheme.
And are the new dolls supposed to be the historical character or the girl doing the time traveling. If the former, then I do not like Kit's new haircut. She's a child of the Depression whose family is struggling to keep their house. There was no money for fancy hairstyles...she's lucky she doesn't have a "bowl cut."
However, I do like seeing more colors in the design scheme and I did like seeing a few modern outfits for the historical girls (especially Kaya). So I am still on the fence and will look expectantly toward the big reveal.
It looks to me like Julie is sitting in one of those egg shaped chairs holding the phone. Maybe the chair is replacing her car?
ReplyDeleteI saw the egg chair as well with what looks like a speaker. I saw the VW in the video so I don't think it is going anywhere yet. (Fingers crossed)

That is exactly how I feel about it. This video has really changed my opinion about it entirely. I'm excited to see what other changes are coming.

ReplyDeleteI wonder if the purple dress the girl is wearing is one of the Rebecca inspired dresses cause I really like it it's pretty

I don't like that the outfits are only inspired by the characters. Girls WANT costumes to look like their dolls!
