*In Store Report* Farewell Ruthie & Ivy Signs - Photos AGP DC

Madelon sent in GREAT (transition) photos from AGP DC.

Ruthie giving her final wave Good-bye before going into the AG archives!

Saying farewell to Ivy before she is archived.

Cabana is already temporarily SOLD OUT!
 Not good planning.

Looks like preparations for out with the old and in with the new!

  1. I was at the Boston store yesterday and noticed there were lots of Ruthies on display, though they made it pretty clear that she was being phased out. Funny, I didn't see much emphasis on Ivy, though signage also said she was going to the archives. The busiest single section was Isabelle's. Kit and Caroline consistently have the largest sections of all the historicals. I cannever get out of that place without spending more than I had planned. :-)

  2. One thing I've noticed: I went to the San Francisco store yesterday and was looking at the dolls and their faces have changed so much! The cheeks are sunken and the face a lot thinner than my Kit doll (I brought her for comparison: 2009). Also the eyelashes are MUCH longer. Almost twice the size. In my opinion they look a lot worse. I was going to buy Josefina but after seeing her I've decided I'd rather buy an older version second-hand. Also, Kit's freckles caught my attention. There are a lot more, but they are smaller. My older Kit has less but bigger.
