Our Generation Nahla the Gardener Doll Review

Target sold Nahla which is a deluxe set doll. She was sold in place of the twins Dedra and Denelle.

Once Target began selling Nahla Denelle was phased out. I contacted Target and they told me that she was to replace Denelle. I was disappointed that I did not have a chance to buy Dedra's twin, so I bought two Nahla dolls. One on sale and one with a gift card. I wanted twin dolls...so Dedra is apart of a trio now.

Nahla is a beautiful doll and her set is so much fun!
Her hair clip is nice, but I prefer ribbon to show off her pretty, soft curls.

It has vegetables and a working pail to carry all her produce in. Some of the veggies paint rubs off onto other veggies, but still a great play set for the price...under $30.

She has a cute romper and pads to protect her knees as she gardens.

The clogs are very cute and she also comes with a pair of flats.

Her book offers beautiful illustrations. This one is my favorite.

Purchased an additional Our Generation outfit for her which came with a gardening hat and overalls. The shirt has all kinds of fruits on it which makes it perfect for Nahla the gardener.

I also bought a garden journal for $5. Contains helpful garden advise and activities. I selected wooden garden tools and seeds too, which were in dollar bin.

Luke Skywalker - Happy Star Wars Day!!

We are big Star Wars fans in our house! My favorite - Luke Skywalker!

Star Wars Day, May 4, celebrates George Lucas' Star Wars. It is observed by fans of the media franchise. Observance of the commemorative day spread quickly through media and grassroots celebrations. The date was chosen for the pun on the catchphrase "May the Force be with you" as "May the Fourth be with you".

My version of Luke, is a Rafael OG doll. He wears a DIY costume with brown AG boots.

 Happy Star Wars day!
May the Force be with you! Always!

Our Generation Franco Boy Doll Review

This is Franco, an Our Generation doll.  He is very cute and was on sale for $12.99 at Target.

His shirt buttons are on the side as a girl's shirt would be, not a boy's shirt.

His head is very wobbly.  He had a tremendous amount of plastic ties holding his hat and clothes on.  I almost couldn't get his hat off because the ties were so close to his scalp and I had to be very careful not to cut his hair.

His hair is very stiff in the front, but can be combed out with water.  Then it is very soft.

The underwear is more like a girl's.

Here is a comparison of one of the American Girl dolls,  Franco and a My Life As boy doll.

I'm thrilled to have Franco, especially at the price I paid.

DIY Beach Van

I ordered this 1960’s looking orange van, on sale online from Target during one of their toy sales. This was the end of last year, in anticipation of the rumors surrounding the GOTY Joss Kendrick’s $650 van. Knowing the American Girl van would be awesome, but that I would never spend two Jeep payments on a toy, I decided to create something far less expensive and more my own.

So, paying way less than $100. and just using paints and ingenuity,
I was able to capture my version of beaches along the Pacific Coast Highway I had traveled to over the years with my kids and friends.
See for yourself (the only thing I need to change or add is the curtains, something fun on the chalkboard and maybe an octopus on the top!

I customized my OG van for Joss and her crew, in colors like her box!

Logan and Gabe are my Dillon and Liam Kendrick
(and yes, Dillon is too young to drive!)

The curtains are temporary until I replace them with new ones.As you can see, this is no longer a Food Truck, but more of a utilitarian, surfer van – made to haul people, surfboards
 and other equipment.

Hope it inspired you to create your own!

*REVIEW* OG Noelle Deluxe Doll Set

Noelle is simply a beautiful 18 inch doll.

She is a steal at $29 sale price. Her stuffed body is that of a doll triple her price...I compared her to an American Girl doll and the quality is almost identical to what you would pay in a store of that magnitude.

Doll set also comes with a nicely decorated Christmas list on lined paper. List is left blank so someone could fill it in later or photo copy and duplicate it for other dollies to use. Cute picture of Rudolph at the bottom.

Noelle has honey blond rooted hair. The hair is thick, plush, shiny and full! Lots of play value. It doesn't look as full in the box though as the stock photo suggests.

To get a full look I put her hair in pigtails and added...you guessed it...ribbons.

Her set comes complete with PJ's, dress, underwear, shoes, slippers, tights, book, bookmark,  plate, 2 cookies, chocolate milk, 2 wrapped presents with bows or ribbon and Noelle doll.

Noelle is slightly taller than 18 inches and her pj's are pretty thick...dress is unfortunately paper thin in material. Although the overall deluxe doll set is super cute and worth the money spent.  She even stands up to my older pleasant company labeled dolls in quality and play value. She is also poseable!

Comparison with 2019 AG Baking Set apron with design on Noelle PJ's. Both sets seem to offer yummy gingerbread treats for a fun, traditional Christmas snack.
