We were hurt that Nanea was released the same day school started because we could not afford it. We plan to get her this weekend, but thank to a act of nature we were not able to go. Our American Girl Store Closed yesterday Friday and TODAY. Hopefully they will reschedule the. Nanea Welcome event. We are thankful that our home was safe during Hurricane Harvey.
Thank you Madelon. I was supposed to be at the AG Place Houston today getting my Nanea, but weather conditions here prevented my going. Hopefully I will be able to go in a week or so.
Thanks for sharing. The new stable, which is online, looks like so much fun. If my daughters were still interested in the horses, I could definitely see the new stable on their wish list. I think it is on backorder online, not sure. I saw so many new items, that said backordered. The dog pet was a Costco pet, it is really cute. The pet items are on sale online also, including Costco pet sets. On the TRU website, there are AG items that are on sale, but they are in store only purchase. I didn't verify, but some of the items are either not sold by AG or not on sale at AG online. I did buy a few WW outfits online at TRU, that were on sale, but they aren't on sale on AG website. Wondering, do the AG items really sell well outside of AG stores? In our local area, the WW sections seems to be getting smaller at Kohl's and Target, and they don't seem to have any of the newer items. TRU doesn't have much, and some of the older accessories are on sale online.
Love these pictures. Very happy with the new releases. Made a list for my Beforever dolls, will need to pass on Nanea since my doll room is no more and space is limited in our home now. Will continue collecting for the dolls I have and I already planned for Tenny and 67 as my last AG dolls with the exception of a unarchived Kirsten comeback. I will have to enjoy Nanea beautiful collection from afar and add her books along with TM items for Kanani. That way I can bridge US history with my modern day dolls. Enjoy Nanea and her collection for me. It looks like a really good one. Please let me know if the bed is real wood and not plastic. That so far is my favorite item of hers.
When I looked over the bed at the store I believe that only the sides and the back are wood. The pull out and undersides are plastic. I was not really sure on the legs but I don''t think that they are wood. Hope that this helps! Sharon
Yes Sharon it does, thank you. I was kicking myself because I love the look of it so much that I wanted to find some excuse to either buy or not buy. I have finally reached that line in the sand for AG where I need to make space for the dolls I currently have and will not sell to other doll brands that I would like to add to my collection. Yet, that should not discourage others from adding Nanea's beautiful collection to their own. It looks well worth it especially for those who have the space, money or are just starting to collect and need a good place to begin. I would highly recommend beginning now while AG is still using quality pieces. Sooner than later these same pieces will be entirely made of plastic.
