I live in the Mat Su valley which is close to Anchorage.
A picture I took of Lottie recently. I was trying to work on my doll photography. I love it because it was raining that day. She is wearing the American Girl Raincoat, and Our Generation shoes. Spring field pants and of course Pepper had to get in the scene.
I decided that she needed a husky dog because she is after all an Alaskan doll now
There is Lottie along the Seward Meridian Highway. It is considered one of the most beautiful roads in the US!
Lottie Somewhere between Fairbanks and Valdez. I wanted to take pictures with Lottie in Fairbanks but it was really smokey in Fairbanks because of all the wild fires and I didn't want to take her out in case she got covered in smoke
Lottie in front of Worthington Glacier! How many people can say that they have a picture of their doll in front of a real glacier! I got to touch that glacier too it was pretty cool.
Lottie with some more fireweed in between Fairbanks and Valdez.I love Fireweed it is so pretty!
And the last pictures are of Lottie inside an abandoned train tunnel. The tunnel was first built in the early 1900s, but was abandoned.
We went from Wasilla where we live, to Fairbanks. From Fairbanks to Valdez. Than from Valdez back through to Wasilla.
I wish I had been able to get pictures of her with Denali. (Mt. McKinley.) But it was raining that day of course when we went.

Thank you for sharing. What beautiful scenery.
ReplyDeleteJoanna, these pictures are incredible! What a fantastic adventure you went on. Lottie is just beautiful. You are right, not many dolls (or people) get to be near a glacier! Awesome memories. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed the wonderful Alaskan scenery, and Lottie looks right at home! Look forward to more pictures of her adventures in Alaska!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great adventure! Madelon
