Our new doll is the Paola Reina Every Girl Andrea doll.  We have named her Ruby. She's 18 inches tall with brown sleep eyes, rooted glossy black hair, and we think she is really pretty with a sweet face!
She
arrived in pink converse high top sneakers, pink leggings and a pink
print sweater dress.  The Underlying pink shirt and collar are attached
to the sweater dress.  She also came with a hair accessory to match her
dress. We pierced her ears.
The sneakers she came in are very similar to the converse shoes you
can buy from OG for $6-7.  Her feet, however, are smaller than AG dolls'
 feet.
She can wear Journey Girl shoes nicely.  She cannot wear Journey
Girl pants - they don't get past her thighs.  She can wear AG clothes.
She
is slightly different from American Girl dolls in that she has some
internal armature that allows her arms to move in positions that AG
dolls cannot.  Her hip joints are also different; she can sit down with
her legs closer together.  I kind of wish that the My Twinn dolls had
this kind of armature in their 18" dolls; it would have been more like
their 23" dolls and would have set them apart from AG dolls more.
Her face mold is different from other dolls we have seen.  I love her
pretty lips.  Her brown eyes are similar to Madame Alexander dolls, My
Sibling/My Pal dolls, or Dolls from Heaven St. Therese.  They are not at
realistic or beautiful as AG doll eyes.
Her rooted hair is
very thick and easy to brush.  She is very lightly scented with vanilla,
which I think is a signature of Paola Reina dolls.

I love my Paola Reina doll. I've been wondering how the 18 in are. That vanilla scent is very European. This line of dolls are made in Spain which really sets them apart. I have a Soy Tu doll which is supposed to be 17 inches but I think it slightly less. They are all vinyl and look brilliant with AG and other 18 inch dolls proportionally as little sisters or smaller classmates.
ReplyDeletePaola Reina dolls are lovely! We also have a Paola Reina Los Blanditas Conchita, that I think may be one of the prettiest dolls I've ever seen. Sadly though, my kids never want to play with her. I love the face sculpts of Paola Reina dolls. -Belle
DeleteSuch a pretty doll. Where did you find her?
ReplyDeleteI found her on Amazon last February and saved her for me for Christmas this past year. I think she's so beautiful! The seller was Really Great Toys and I believe they have an online store as well. I also bought our Paola Reina Los Blanditas Conchi through them. Hope that helps! -Belle
DeleteShe is a beauty. Madelon
ReplyDeleteLovely new girl. I love the way they sculpt and paint the lips on this line of dolls. :)
