*In Store Report* New CREATOLOGY Dolls + Clothes - Michael's

Michael's has new dolls called CREATOLOGY in time for the holidays. I was told this was only the first stage of shipments, more is to be expected. The end cap was full of dolls, clothes and accessories.

Individual clothing sets included two PJ sets, soccer and cheerleader outfits.

I did not see a bar code or price listed for the fancy dress and coat.

The slippers and hangers did not have a price or bar code.

*Please note* These dolls are a SEASONAL item only and will NOT be replacing Springfield Collection dolls.

  1. Aw, they are adorable! They remind me of Maplelea dolls. :)

  2. Cute! I like them even better than the Springfield dolls! And while their meet outfits are nothing special, they can't be worse than the Springfield dolls' potato sacks! Lol! Looks like some cute outfit options too! And with those 40% off coupons--can't beat the price! Thanks for the info!

    1. Thats hilarious, Ginger, but you right. I'd always wished that they had pants. I didn't buy these dolls though, but I did buy My Life As.

  3. I saw all of these at my neighborhood Michaels this week, and the dolls faces are very appealing. I told myself, "just say no, just walk away"! The wardrobe box was very pink but still useful and probably will make a great gift for someone, combined with a doll.

  6. I gave my friend a pair of pajamas (the pink zebra ones.) They were not amazing quality for $15, but they were very cute, however, she ended up cutting thumb-holes in them because they didn't fit over the dolls' hands.

  7. Wow! I love their faces. I also think they remind me of Maplea doll faces, but s little more subtle.

  8. I did buy (& review) one with a 50% coupon. Not bad at the 50% off price. Your pictures of the store stock are MUCH clearer than my phone pics :)

My store didn't have the hangers.

  9. The mini accessories: pair of shoes, slippers, or 5 hangers are $4.99. Does anyone know if the clothes fit Springfield, Madame Alexander or AG dolls?

    1. I would expect so, since their clothes fit this doll. These dolls' feet are maybe 1/4 inch shorter than American Girls, but the shoes fit okay...some of the off brand shoes, like Springfield might be a little loose.

  10. I find all the Maplelea doll sculpts very unnatural. Maybe they are different in person but photographs I've seen of them make them seem like they are grimacing, In contrast these dolls have very sweet faces. If I compared them to any doll brand just in terms of appearance it would be very vaguely to the My Life dolls at Walmart.

  11. I just picked up Zoey at the store. The sculpt of the face and arms are the best feature. The cut of the hair is very choppy on my doll and the all cloth torso is a bit under-stuffed to me.The arms are inserted into the torso with reinforced seams like the Springfield dolls, Legs are full vinyl. The head can be rotated from side to side but ONLY because you can slide the head inside the torso opening! It has no neck joint. Eyes are sleep eyes and Zoey's clothes and torso are sewn well. Her shoes are of molded plastic/rubber and feet are about 2/3 the size of an AG doll so shoes won't fit AG. Feet are almost identical to an OG doll. Zoey has a crooked seam going down the back of her head in the pig tail style. Overall I prefer the body design on these over OG dolls although the quality of OG is better. The torso fabric isn't as strong as OG's for one and OG dolls have a neck joint.. Quality is a bit inferior to what you would find with a Springfield doll, Springfield dolls also have a neck joint and i think the vinyl is a little softer than Springfield, although hair fiber seems a little thicker. I would buy more of these, but only with a coupon.
