*Review* Maryellen's Seaside Diner

Shelly shares her review of Maryellen's Seaside Diner and all of its features.

It comes packaged very well.

I just opened this diner and haven't put the stickers on the walls yet.

The booth seats are just amazing. They are padded vinyl and have that slick and shiny feel. The color scheme is perfect for the 1950s time period.

I would have loved a pay phone on the wall instead of a sticker phone.

I love it, I think it's well worth the money and made just like Grace's bakery using the same materials. It is made very well.

You can do a lot with the kitchen and add items you already have.

The bar stools are stable and built into the floor.

I do think there could be more stuff for the kitchen so it doesn't look so empty.

I recommend this -  it gets a thumbs up from me!

  1. This Diner is Adorable, but it looks slightly too small in scale...
Do two dolls fit comfortably in the booth or on the stools?

    1. Two Doll's fit very comfortable it the Booth. Scale is incredibly and generously laid out. It's in My opinion you would be very pleased.

  2. Hi Shelly, This is on my "to get" list. Can you tell if this folds up at all. How much room does it take up compared to Grace's bakery or Lanie's camper? Madelon

  3. Very cute and functional. I love that it folds to assist with spacing and storing needs. My favorite component is the kitchen features and booth. AG really considered the play value by including these features. Shelly, what is your opinion on the stickers? Do they fit the diner in value and design, or would you prefer to swap them out?

  4. I think American Girl has done such a great job on the items for Maryellen's collection!

  5. I tried two dolls on the booth together and I think they look fine. The wall behind the booth does fold in behind the bar area. The diner does fold all the way out and it looks to be around the same length maybe a tad bit longer than the AG bakery. It's not as tall as the bakery tho. Not sure it's size to Lanie's camper since we don't have that. All in all I love it and think it's a great AG item!!

  6. Ticia I'm not that happy with the stickers. They are cute, but I think they will eventually start peeling off. I'll probably find some small pics, tins or magnets and just tape them up. I really want a pay phone the dolls could pretend to use.

  7. Cute! I like this diner, I think the price is a little high. :) I'm probably going to get OG's and paint it the same colors as Maryellen's diner. Great review!
