Nonna of Mommy's Doll Club is at the Grand opening for the AGP Nashville store and wow what a long line!
I'm
still in the queue to get the admission tickets. Its roughly 7:15am. A
few people camped out, but otherwise the line outside wasn't bad by 6:30am.
Doors opened at 6:45am. Tickets for entry start for the 9am actual
opening.
On the way in through the food court, we met Isabelle, Saige, Molly and Grace actresses!
The
first girl in line arrived at 10:30pm last night from Memphis. Ten year
old Sarah has three AG dolls including Caroline who came with her. She
and her mama have not slept! The line apparently
got pretty full starting around 4:00am. I got in line at 6:30am.
The event was really well organized. Mall staff were ALL friendly and inquisitive asking anyone with a doll about it. There were about 2,000 through last time I asked. The news had been advertising 6,000 which I think kept many away.
Hair crew ready! (I learned they had hours of training this week, but aren't required to watch the doll hair video).
$14 in store outfit of the month is the surf top & shorts (w $50 purchase) also shown w the surfboard.
$14 Nashville exclusive outfit (w $50 purchase) teal top, crops, hairband & shoes.
Bistro opens at ten!
Birthday chair at the bistro!
Lots of activities in the main mall including nail painting, coloring, punch out crafts. Including meeting Elsa and Anna from Frozen.
You're welcome!
ReplyDeleteFabulous! Looks like a very nice opening. Love the actresses playing the doll characters. Definitely older than 10, but looked perfect.
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of glad the hair crew had instruction over watching the videos...the written instructions tell you to brush or comb from the bottom to the top. In the videos the handlers start in the middle.
Love that birthday chair in the bistro. The displays are lovely.
Thank you for sharing the photos! Congratulations Nashville!
Thanks for sharing. What a fun thing to get an AG store within easy driving distance for a lot of folks.
ReplyDeleteLinda, I probably spent as much in gas as I do in gas plus tolls normally to get to NYC or DC never mind NYC parking! It's craz .
DeleteThank you for your wonderful report. It looks like you had lots of fun! Did you make many purchases?
ReplyDeleteBut, of course! I had not intended to purchase another doll but on my way to the mall, I took a road called Trinity Lane and when I saw #60, I knew SHE was really Trinity Lane. She, both special in store outfits and a pair of glasses came with me when I left. I'll be highlighting her shortly in my My Doll Friday section.
DeleteThere's also a Toys R Us and a Target on the periphery of this mall (& a Build A Bear inside) making it a doll enthusiast destination. I've also hit the East Nashville Hobby Lobby for some accessories.
I love that name! Can't wait to meet her!
DeleteThanks Ladies for sharing and posting.
