Antique Dolls - Effanbee

The 1933 Dy-Dee Baby had rubber bodies and rubber composition heads. The doll could be fed through the open mouth where the liquid ran through tubing where the baby could wet her diaper on demand. The doll was sold in the Montgomery Ward catalogs and in the retail stores.

The early dolls had molded hair and ears, with rubber ears added in they 1940 Effanbee dolls. Molded hair like the one above are from earlier versions, but by 1940 some dolls had lamb’s curly wool wigs.
