This is an amazing story of a panicked mom reaching out to the doll community for help before her daughter comes home to find her dolls looking like this at the hand of a younger sibling.
Heather asked for help in removing red lipstick from her daughter's two dolls MyAG #22 and GOTY 2015 Grace Thomas.
After many suggestions: makeup remover, rubbing alcohol, coconut oil, and hydrogen peroxide to no avail, Heather tried Dawn dish washing soap (cuts oil) and Magic Eraser and successfully cleaned off the arms.
"I got it off the limbs with Dawn and Magic Eraser.... just thinking I
might be safer, regarding eyelids, with the hospital for the heads.... The face just
smears and turns pink (I'm scared to get the eyes wet!) My oldest cried when she saw them."
Heather then tried another suggestion and used Oxy Spray on Qtips and Magic Eraser with a lot of elbow grease. It was a two-hour process, but well worth the effort!
"Holy
moly!!! So lots of rubbing with Magic Eraser, Oxy spray on Qtips for small areas and
all that's left is on Grace's shoulder and some light streaks in front of the hair. (Oxy spray can be found in your laundry aisle)."
Congratulations Heather! WOW!
So glad it came off
