*REVIEW* Corolle, Mon Bebe Classique

Fawn gives a review of Adele, her Corolle Mon Bebe Classique.

My Mon Bebe Classique is made by a French company called Corolle.  Corolle's Mon Bebe Classique Blondinette Baby Doll has a soft body and rooted hair that can be brushed and styled with the included hairbrush. Plus, this charming 14-inch baby doll features sleeping eyes that open and close and supple vinyl skin that’s delicately scented with vanilla, a Corolle signature.

I found her at a yard sale for $1.00. She was naked, but in excellent condition.  Although I rescue 18" dolls, I fell in love with her immediately and brought her home to become a little sister. I named her Adele Yvette.
Her hair required no more than a simple brushing and it seemed perfectly suited to a ponytail.  I gave her a Magic Eraser bath.  I cut off a preemie onesie for an undershirt then used the bottom of another preemie onesie as a diaper.  I had a baby doll sleeper on hand that fit perfectly.
I think my favorite thing about her is that she smells faintly of vanilla.  Her soft body make her especially cuddly.  She is a sweetheart.  All of my dolls are rescues so I feel very fortunate to have found her.

Thank you Fawn.

  2. *From Julie's doll mom:*

I remember this cutie from the crib post last year. She's so cute! My kids in the younger class has the Asian version of this doll, dubbed "China Baby". Everyone would fight to see who gets to play w/ her. One parent seeing how much his daughter loved the doll, bought one for her birthday. I bought myself a new mini version of "China Baby". Oh how I love that vanilla smell! It's very soothing.

  3. I have two other dolls that smell lovely. One is a Playwonder which smells faintly of baby powder and the other is a Journey Girl, Kelsey. She has a faint floral smell. Since my dolls are rescues I'm not sure if they were manufactured that way or if their previous owners sprayed them with perfume. I just know I love the way they smell.

  4. She is such a great find - so adorable! I have a Corolle doll as well that smells like vanilla ^_^. She has longer dark hair, and stands about 13-15 or so inches tall. I named her Dot. I hear they are French dolls? Thanks for sharing Fawn ^_^.
