Molly’s Hula Costume
Molly goes Hawaiian for Halloween in Meet Molly, the first book in her series. For a spooktacular night of trick-or-treating, she chooses this costume:
- A green hula skirt
- A cozy sweater to keep her warm
- A flower lei and matching bracelet
- Flower accessories for her hair
- A paper treat sack decorated with a jack-o'-lantern
- A special black mask for disguise
Oh, this darn outfit. I wanted it for AGES and one day it was just gone. Poof. I never got it but desperately want it now. I learned that lesson the hard way.
ReplyDeleteJust a note to those who have the crepe paper version (not the plastic). You can iron the crepe paper with a small craft iron on low to take it back to its more original look. My skirt was a crinkled miniskirt before I ironed it, but now it looks much better and much more like new. And if you are looking to get a used one on ebay, don't be turned off by any that look all smushed. As long as the strands are there, they can be straightened.
