I saw some people complaining about the new outfit being teal (because teal didn't exist in 1904 apparently). They used it to justify their BeForever hate, and all I could think of was her first TEAL bicycling outfit. While I prefer her first one, I haven't found it at a decent price yet. I'll definitely be getting the new one in the meantime.
I have Samantha's old bicycle, and I have been crossing my fingers they would create a bicycling outfit for her. Although I thought that shirt was for Julie (I even said that on my Beforever rumors page on my blog O.o) I will definitely be buying it, especially for that lovely hat!!!
I think that blouse looks like it was made for Julie as well. I'm no historian, so I can't speak on whether it looks authentic or not. But I think the bike is really cool! I do already have 3 doll bikes, though.
I really do not like that biking outfit it looks like a three year old picked it out of a Gymboree store but the bike is really attractive! I definitely will be buying the bike!
I'm glad I have her original cycling outfit; I don't care for this one as much. I'll know how I really feel about BeForever once I have an actual product in my hands and see how cheap the fabric feels. I'm very annoyed by someone who commented on the AG FB page last night that who cares about history anyway, her daughters don't like the historical dolls because "their movies are boring." YIKES.
everything i like i think the bike should have been maybe the color of her hat,,i like the fact that they kept the pants and boots similar to the old one
I was hoping for a tricycle...but even if they gave her a bike, why not cream/white or some other color? And the top does look like it belongs to Julie's collection.

I can't speak about the embroidery, but the cut and style of the blouse is very accurate!

DeleteI saw that comment. I would expect that from a child, but not an adult! Double YIKES!

ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge history buff, but that bike does not look historically accurate.
