*Reader Photos* Historical Dress Maker

Michele sent in these photos of historical doll dresses she has made.  I found her featured in the Grand Rapids Press!

I make historical outfits for the American Girl dolls on etsy ShellDolls.  I especially like the 1860 era, but have made a number of outfits for Felicity and Caroline's era also.  I wanted to share some of the outfits with you.

I have been sewing doll clothes for nearly 40 years. I began collecting American Girl dolls and their accessories when they first opened in 1989.
I worked in a bridal store for several years before deciding to pursue my own sewing business.

I specialize in making:
*historically accurate doll clothes
*wedding ensembles for dolls
*card table play tents for children
*baby quilts

  2. Awesome! My favorite would be the Gryffindor robe. I know what those card table things look like and I would LOVE to make one, only problem is who would use it? Plus that's a LOT of fabric.
