We also did this a couple of months ago for our Lindsey! (Not sure what's up with Lindsey, but it seems like most of these dolls get loose limbs!) I was scared too, but she was SO bad that she couldn't even stand up when propped against something. Now she is fine! I would definitely do it again if I had to!
I read somewhere that AG dolls made in the early 2000s often develop problems...who can blame the company, coming under new management while still trying to output enough dolls.
The whole taking the head off and stuffing out scares me silly. Melody seriously needs some tightening though. On our last outing she started falling sideways.
I have tightened a few heads but I don't think I am brave enough to take the whole doll apart to tighten any limbs yet.
ReplyDeleteI did the same thing with my Lindsey doll to! I'm glad it worked for you to!

ReplyDeleteQuick update. melody still has not gone to the hospital for tightening. She's holding her own and with patience stands very well.
