*On Location* Leeann and LuLu’s Big Halloween Adventure - Frizellburg

In the small town of Frizellburg, there is a store on Old Taneytown Road that’s been operating since 1909.  That’s 110 years!  Wow!  Leeann had walked by the store many times when she visited her Aunt Sadie.
The dolls are by a Canadian artist—Denis Bastien.  He is a one-man company who does everything from designing the dolls and costumes to packing and mailing what he sells.  His company is Affordable Designs Canada.

One day, when she and her closest friend LuLu visited her aunt, the store was open.  Leeann and LuLu looked up at the big sign that read Frizellburg Antique Store, nodded in agreement and pushed at the big yellowish door.  As they entered, a bell jingled, and they both jumped from fright.

Oh, my!  They had never seen so many dolls and bears, and right in front of them was a big black spider tree that moved to creepy music and had candy corn hanging from it.

They saw cases and cases of beautiful old dolls.

On a table sat a pumpkin with glowing eyes and a black cat with white feet.  Leeann petted the cat and he purred.  Miss Laura, the owner of the store, gave them fancy Halloween hats.  Lulu’s was green and Leeann’s was purple.

In the back room, they climbed onto a table with a big doll and a little bear sitting on a tablecloth that looked like a spider web.

Then they saw a bookcase with Fall leaves and pumpkins.  Leeann climbed up and sat on the leaves, but LuLu sat down by a tiny pumpkin.

Then they found a dollhouse and it was just the right fit!

They found boney hands, really salad tongs, but creepy just the same.

On the fireplace, they met a black cat named Chance and a witch cat with a broom.  Her name was Salem.  Scariest of all was the spider that climbed on LuLu’s dress.  Yikes!

As Leeann and LuLu climbed the stairs, they met lots of teddy bears.  Big ones and little ones, gold ones and brown ones, all with pretty Halloween bows.  So many bears!  So many bows!

They wandered into another room filled with dolls and bears—and elephants!

Perhaps their favorite thing was riding a circus elephant.  He was big and gray and very friendly.

LuLu laughed when she saw a tiny chipmunk hiding in a Halloween bag.  She wondered if he was hiding nuts—or candy.

Best of all, Miss Laura gave them candy from a big Halloween pumpkin.  This was the greatest Halloween adventure Leeann and LuLu could ever have imagined.  They left the store with bags of candy and the promise they would come back to visit this magical place many more times.

Goodbye wonderful Frizellburg Antique Store!  Happy Halloween!!!
