*REVIEW* Addy's Birthday Outfit and Hairstyles

Addy in her birthday best. Love Addy and her hair the best. Her outfits come alive with various hairstyles for Addy this time of year.

By Addy's Mother working in a dress shop I like to think there is plenty of ribbon left over for Addy's thick, long hair. I added a St. Patrick's day pin to her pinafore since Addy is in Philadelphia The City of Brotherly Love.

Favorite features on her outfit include her two triangle working pockets, pleated blouse with caramel colored buttons, snood and the makeup of her pinafore.

Addy fits right in with all of her American Girl birthday buddies.

    1. Thanks. I think her wig is wonderful because it is thick and long which is perfect for styling. So much fun to work with.

  2. Addy is very pretty. The older outfits are so nice. The little details....the triangle pocket, the elastic in the sleeve , the buttons, the rickrack and the fabric, isn't just a check it has a little design to it. I wonder who Pleasanton or early years of American Girl worked with for their fabric. American Girl has shared a short video of story boards and research. I would enjoy seeing a short video on the process after the storyboard and the completed project. How they go about finding the fabrics? Do they have fabric specially made, since some things on the storyboard, don't match with the completed product? Same with the accessories. Perhaps, that would be giving away secrets to competition?

    Thank you for sharing!

    1. Thank you. Hopefully the new book about Pleasant Rowland will go into it more. I really like the early collectionstages so I am curious too of how they chose fabrics.

    1. Thank you. I am still trying to get the dolls together for one big picture. Wish I had Addy's earlier sets like puppets, stage, bird in cage, pudding set with bowl etc. I was hoping AG would bring it back for their Be forever launch.

    2. I wish I had the earlier items, too. They are so hard to find on the secondary market. People know the value. How many dolls do you own? Madelon

    3. I am not sure. They range from Barbie, AG, porcelain dolls, baby dolls, Madame Alexander, Kenner dolls, Cabbage Patch and rag dolls. Some are from my childhood and others are with my parents. Once I get them together I will be able to count all of them.

  5. I think this is one of my favorite Addy outfits. And your Addy is gorgeous. The third picture down, I just love it!

You've got me wondering about the WB Addy I found for my niece. We live close to Baldwinsville, NY, and they did assemble AG dolls there in the beginning. The couple I got her from said they got all the early dolls for their daughter. I'm starting to wonder if he or she used to work there and the doll was put together from bits and bobs leftover. I don't know how else to explain her. It's a mystery but oh she's so pretty!!

Thank you for sharing your collection.
