*REVIEW* Garden Gazebo - Paper Decorations

I love the garden gazebo. It's great for both modern and historical scenes. (Now discontinued)

Samantha loves spending afternoons in this beautiful white gazebo! Its arches are accented with graceful scrollwork designs, and its roof panels can be removed to create a lovely trellis look. Samantha thinks the four hanging fairy lights are positively enchanting! Popular decorations in Samantha’s day, each tiny candleholder has a flickering LED light inside to make it glow like a real candle. Includes a set of paper decorations so girls can change the gazebo with the seasons.

I have not yet used these on my gazebo. They are made of strudy card stock. I have just always used DIY items to decorate.

I am not sure how I feel about these. It seems a little "flat" to me. I prefer 3D decorations. However these can be used to help layer and build your decorations.

Here is a reference photo of how the spring packet looks as displayed at AGP Houston 2015.

Shelly used a DIY patriotic decor on her gazebo!

  1. Are they pretty durable? I want to laminate paper items for long-term use but am hesitant that I will ruin an item with no guarantee that it is replaceable.

    1. Depending on the item, I will copy it , and let the girls use the copy and put the original away. Perhaps you could copy and laminate.

    2. Good idea! I will try that.

  2. The gazebo disappeared from the website last year , I think, along with the ice cream shop. I like both of those items, but we really don't have space for either.

Thank you for he great ideas.

  3. I wish American Gitl would give more advance notice before they retire an item. Madelon

    1. Yes. They do this year after year. It would be nice to get some advanced warning especially now that they can track customer purchases. They must know through their system what frequent customers like.

  4. The paper decorations do seem flat, but they are very pretty. They'd work better decorating a backdrop to a scene than a 3D object.

    Shelly's gazebo looks fantastic!
