  1. Thank you for sharing. Would you mind explaining what Tire sur la niege is and how you make it. Is that something that is a tradition in Ontario or in other parts of Canada? I have never seen that in the US, so just wondering. Thank you.

    1. It's Maple Taffy. You take clean snow (CLEAN!!!) and pour maple syrup onto it. As it's hardening into "taffy", you carefully roll the candy around a stick or spoon or butter knife. So good!

    2. Yes, exactly. A French Canadian tradition--but I'm pretty sure it's been adopted across the country, so not just Ontario and Quebec. The maple syrup has to be heated to just the right temperature though--needs to be boiling to ensure that it hardens when poured out.
