They say it will not show when it is covered by the doll's clothes but-underwear shows through now with many of their leggings and the bathing suit bottoms may not cover them. If they do, there could be vpl (visible panty line).
Also, I did not feel that American Girl's response was as tactful as it needed to be in the second comment telling the commenter that she had a great perspective when she said she couldn't believe people got upset over this and it was only a doll. Is that company policy or is sensitivity training needed?
It is terrible! I called and complained about Lea's items being 40% off in-store, but the website was full price. I was told' So sorry you had this experience." I was stunned by the response and at a loss for words. Tuesday morning, the likes for the underwear picture surpass the 'Anger' likes. American Girl thanked a person for their support that posted a comment agreeing the the underwear is no big deal.
Trying not to curse. I am sure that is fake customer, she has no A/G Dolls. Tell American Girl to stop have the people they give Dolls away to free to to post comments. It is so obvious. Fake News, Fake Doll Post. Real A/G Customers will never have made that reply.
Don't worry she has most likely never purchased a American Girl Brand Doll at Full Price. Her Mom buys them for Her kids, and she blends in with Real Collector...............
Maybe it's like printed bikini underwear, and that's why it won't show. Must be pale colors too, so dolls can wear white. Shoot, why not add a bellybutton?!
Apparently AG now has contracted with company in Middle East for store there SO guessing panties are modesty concession for contract and actually has nothing to do with customer demand as stated by AG. Story from 12/16 and states to take effect in 2017 which is reason current dolls Gabriela, Tenney, Logan, etc still have unattached underwear as likely made before contract so changes are coming.
Also, I would worry about the Beforever dolls NOT getting Perma-panties. That definitely says something about what dolls AG sees still around in the future...
AG needs to keep giving out the free dolls and stop expecting paying customers to have real opinions...nice marketing strategy. What are they doing?!!! The customers getting free dolls can keep lying. Sooner or later there will be nothing left to love about this company.
Girl you hit it!!!!!!!! No paying customers is desiring them to sew on underwear to $115.00 Doll. They can go get a Porcelain Dolls that only sits on shelf for that. If they are struggling then the best option is no underwear included and watch the sales go up for us purchasing Our Own from them, for proper fit ofcourse.

DeleteI think Molly nailed it. And yes, Andrea, it is just a doll but it was an American Girl doll and that meant something.
