1995 Pleasant Company debuted twenty 18" dolls with modern outfits and accessories. In 2006 Girls of Today changed to Just Like You, 2010 it changed to My American Girl, and 2015 it changed to Truly Me.
One of the original releases was Asian face mold #4 (retired 2011).
I've wanted #4 for a long time and am so happy she is a part of my collection. She is beautiful!!!!
She wears a MyAG I Like Your Style outfit.
Her lashes are perfect, she has lined brows and a full lush wig with silky black straight hair.
Look at that gorgeous hair!
Meet Wen, her name means "literature, culture, writing".
She looks amazing. She is a very hard to find doll, very coveted by almost everyone. Yours is in excellent condition. People will pay crazy prices for #4 even for a damaged one! She is amazing! Glad she is part of your family. I have #54 and that is fine with me. I gave up the search out of desperation and settled for 54. She is the closest I can get. American Girl made a misjudgement retiring #4. She is beautiful, her eyes are the best feature and her wig is so nice and full. Thank you for sharing. Cannot wait to see what dress you pick out for her to wear for the holidays.
ReplyDeleteHi Ticia, did your #54 have the Jess mold or the Ivy molding around the eyes?
DeleteIvy has the Jess mold.
DeleteI have #4. She is in excellent condition. I am looking for a buyer that appreciates this particular doll. If you are interested my email is bonsaibabe@live.com. Put AGT4 in the subject line. I will be listing her on ebay soon.
DeleteAwwww, Wen is adorable! :)

ReplyDeleteWen is lovely! Congratulations on adding her to your collection. It looks like she's in awesome condition and her hair is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I adore Wen! She is a beauty!
DeleteStunningly Beautiful
ReplyDeleteWow, I hope to be welcoming a #4 to my family very soon as well.
ReplyDeleteYour Asian Bitty Twin can be her little brother! Now, if it were me, I'd try to work them into a story somehow...perhaps they're Ivy's cousins! Speaking of, the first time I saw Wellie Wisher Emerson, I thought "Now there's Missy, Ivy's little sister."
ReplyDeleteJust my ideas.
Rosie
Congratulations! She's super cute.
