I got the roller disco outfit when I was at my local Target. The man was literally shelving them and asked me if I wanted it. I was like "How did you know??" lol. It reminds me of an outfit I had as a little girl. I love that it came with roller skates too and for only $12.99! It's been put away for Christmas.
I noticed a number of new dolls and outfits on the Target site that haven't been updated on the OG website. One of them is an adorable redhead with glasses named April and an Asian doll. Also, a surfer girl (deluxe doll) named Coral. Haven't seen a holiday-themed doll like last year's Harper, however.
Ah! I lied! I just went on the site and they've updated it. April (red, glasses) is up--as well as a few others (Aria, platinum blonde pigtails, bangs) and Elyse (brunette, blue eyes). May Lee (pigtails, bangs) is the Asian doll I was talking about (she's so cute!) and I see two new holiday dolls -- Holiday Hope (strawberry blonde) and Holiday Haven (AA, shorter hair), both dressed in identical gold-sequin outfits. Adorable! A nice change from the usual red dress!
Also, Coral (curly blonde) is also up on the Deluxe doll page, with another doll named Nahla (AA, longer hair), who seems to come with a gardening set. Nahla's been up for a little while now, but I just love her 'theme' so I couldn't resist mentioning her.
Also, looks like they've added six new HairPlay dolls (including two redheads-Patrice and Paisley and Zuri, an AA doll.) Love all the variety in OG's line now. So many more girls able to find a doll that looks like them!
Finally, there's also a new category of 'Specialty dolls' -- including ones with hair chalk, jewelry and accessories/stickers/glitter to dress up their outfits and faces (like makeup). There are currently six dolls: Aura (auburn waves), Audra (honey blonde), Maeva (AA, long straight hair), Anya (long straight blonde), Adriana (chestnut waves), Anya (looks like white blonde hair--good for hair chalking, I guess?). I'd love to see one of these Specialty dolls up close as I'd like to see how much different they are then the basic doll and what their price point is--haven't seen them in Canada yet, but I'll keep looking!
Also -- as an aside to Canadian readers -- Our Generation (and Lori dolls!) is now available at Mrs. Tiggy Winkle's, in addition to Mastermind Toys. Prices are around the same--but at least that's another location carrying the line! :)
I am going to be in a production of the musical "Xanadu" this December so I asked for the Roller Disco outfit for Christmas. Good to know about the jacket sleeves. (Too bad the set doesn't include leg warmers...)
Rhonda the roller disco outfit jacket is to small to fit over AG dolls hands but I love the skates and romper so I am keeping mine SR

ReplyDeleteI bought this roller disco outfit twice, but neither jacket would go over my AG or OG doll's hands, so I returned both outfits.
