*Reader Photos* A Collection of Samantha Dolls

Here are photos comparing my Samantha dolls.

TRANSITIONAL SAM UNDER MATTEL OWNERSHIP  PAPERS SIGNED BY MS ROWLAND 1998-2009
BEFOREVER SAM 2014-PRESENT

The doll in the red cranberry Christmas dress is my new White body Pleasant Company Samantha.  Her new wig is very good. Easy to manipulate curls and style.  Pleasant Company issued many cranberry holiday dresses for Samantha's collection.  I also brought out the rest of my older childhood dolls to see what all the fuss was about.  I had to clean her limbs and cloth body a bit before washing and styling her hair, but she was a great find!

  1. Beautiful pictures. I have three Samantha dolls. The first one has the white body and she is in excellent condition, My second Samantha has pleasant company written on her neck and my third Samantha is the current doll. I think all of them are beautiful but I love the older dolls better. Their hair and bangs are much fuller and skin tone is nicer.

    1. I agree. AG did a great job on the newer Samantha dolls, but my childhood dolls were made by Pleasant Company and they have a lot more hair to play with and fuller bangs curtesy of the popularity of fuller bangs in the 80s and early 90s think Mallory in that Michael J Fox sitcom and DJ in Full House.

    2. Yes, Mallory!

I like the older ones better too. We have a PC Sam and wouldn't trade her for a new one at all!

    3. Yes, I wanted to be Mallory. She had the best hair.

  3. Love your collection! It was interesting to see all the different versions of Samantha together and how she changed over time. I have a Mattel Samantha and she's very special to me. Thanks for sharing; enjoyed this post!
