*REVIEW* Opening GOTY 2011 Kanani Akina


I'm so happy! I have wanted Kanani since 2012. Both of her books were included in the auction.


She is from an adult collector and in wonderful condition, her limbs are tight, no marks or scuffs.


Her hair is lush and in like new condition, can't wait to curl it.


She is so pretty!

I have outfits from her collection on the way, I have since tracked down a few pieces since the purchase of the doll. She was definitely worth the wait.

    I have been trying to find a kanani for a decent price but all of them are priced for like $800, $250.

    That's so cool you got Kanani! I was actually looking at this exact listing and would have definitely bought her if I had had the money,y so I'm glad she went to a good home :)

    Congratulations! I have Kanani, but my doll's hair is abundant with split ends. :( I'm so jealous of your Kanani's hair, lol. :)

      Try a hot water dunk on the ends, then finger curl. You can trim slightly any ends too.

    I am amazed that AG made Kanani (and a few others like Julie and Kaya) with such long hair. It is easier to style if it's not tangled, but I have heard and seen a lot of horror stories about one of these Rapunzels getting tangles or worse from a young girl who doesn't know better. I don't think AG should stop making long-haired dolls, but they should post some kind of warning in the catalogs like "This doll has high-maintenance hair." Just an idea.
