Using items from around my house, I pulled them together to create a
colonial scene. The centerpiece of the play is a dark wood box with
colonial finishings in the drawer pulls and carved colonial shell. Love
the curved bottom of the piece.
A small decorated pitcher, a hotchpotch doll from Williamsburg, a three
tiered set of boxes ($1.29 from Cape May Wicker) and a green glass
bottle.
The drawer holds her work dress with pinned apron. The other drawer holds a more formal dress.
My braided rug was on deep discount from Pottery Barn Kids. The chair is wood and bamboo.
Soon to be a linen cabinet.
This outfit came from the Cricket bookshop a few years ago. I paid $13.95. Easy on and off with back Velcro. It has pantaloons underneath which is great if she chooses to go riding.
I previously showed you the chest this colonial outfit was stored in. Here Felicity models it for you. This handmade look was actually purchased from a bookstore!
Suggestion? Look for feet for the "linen" cabinet. You might be able to use a candle stand or other pieces legs.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff! I also like using placemats for braided rugs.
