*FEATURE* Felicity Merriman

We begin the summer with Felicity. Prior to the BeForever launch, AG website had a lot more historical information, games and online resources. These screenshots are from 2005. These were WORKING up until the newly revamped AG website.

  1. I love this! The Felicity movie has always been one of my favorites. I was also very disappointed when AG cleaned out their website of the games and historical fun facts. Some of my favorite games had disappeared.

However, there is this neat little website called the way back machine. Where sometimes, you can still go to those old websites that are no longer available. Or in this instance, go to the American Girl Website and find those old games and historical doll information.

As far as I know, alot of the games are still up and running on the way back machine. The farthest you can go back is 2009. After that, it is hard to get the games and site to work. The downfall is that you dont get the newer historical dolls and their websites. But Felicity, Samantha, Molly, Addy, Kaya and Julie's games are mostly there.

    2. Welcome! Molly Lends a Hand, Addy's A Life in Freedom and Samantha's scavenger hunt were my favorite games. So I had to find a way to still play them. I was so happy when I remembered about the Way Back Machine :)

    3. Thanks so much Joanna! Josefina's Sante Fe Market is my personal favorite, but my girls love them all! So fun to be able to use brains while playing, unlike the new simplified games which do not interest them at all. Gratefully, April

  2. Still can't believe that Felicity is Shailene Woodley. It seems so odd, now that Shailene is also Tris in Divergent and Hazel in The Fault In Our Stars. :) I love Felicity, and I'm glad she's being featured.

    1. I was just noticing that! I thought she looked familiar, and then I saw Shailene W.

  3. One thing I have noticed about the American Girl movies featuring historical characters is that almost all of the main characters went on to have acting careers.

  5. This is amazing! I never saw that magazine article before, but I think it's really cool. How did you find the old scan?

  6. I love that Shailene was Felicity (I haven't seen this movie though only Molly, Kit, McKenna, and Isabelle). She has grown so much as an actress. I bet it was interesting for some of her fans to see her in The Secret Life of Teenagers...that was a pretty intense role. In fact, all of her projects are intense characters. :)
