This dress, a possible BeForever dress sold recently on eBay auction. It's unclear if this is a prototype or if colors may change, but it's a curious thing. Could this be for Addy? Or Maryellen?

If for Maryellen, it seems she would need a petticoat underneath to make the skirt full. What are your thoughts? Who do you think the dress is more suited for - Maryellen or Addy Walker?
it would look pretty on both, but its more suited for Mary Ellen, because its got that 60s sort of feel to it. but it would look good on addy too.
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for Mary Ellen. However, I doubt a petticoat will be included. The quality of AG outfits is definitely not what it used to be.

ReplyDeleteI think it would more fit Mary Ellen. Not a fan of the colors or the neck scarf/bowtie(?), but its a cute design. As long as it's historically accurate, I'm in. :)

I think it's for Mary Ellen. It looks too modern for Addy. It's definitely not my favorite, but it is cute!
ReplyDeleteThe dress seems like something straight out of Addy's collection (the buttons, gingham print, colors). But either way the dress could work for both dolls.
ReplyDeleteJust googling "girls dresses from the 1960's" and similar dresses are showing in this style. So I really do not think this is for Addy, but very likely for Maryellen's collection 1950's styles. And if she is a strawberry blonde, the purple would look lovely, but then again if this dress is a prototype, then it could be any color.
ReplyDeleteI want to say the 1950s doll, but when I saw the Designing Beforever video, it looked like a dress similar to the Addy collection dresses. If you look closely, there is a similar dress like the one featured next to Addy's blue dress for girls in the video. Other than that, I would say Mary Ellen's dress for sure.

ReplyDeleteIt looks like a prototyle of that aqua & orange dress that leaked out a while ago on the supposed image of Maryellen. I really like this dress, but not in the purple. I like the aqua/orange combo better. We'll see which one ends up being the official one.
ReplyDeleteWell, I think probably Mary Ellen because there was a prototype picture of her wearing a dress that kind of looked like that blue one in the picture. And it just seems more suited for Mary Ellen in my opinion. ;-)
