Here is a great DIY project from aghollyk on instagram!!I designed all the colors to match the menus and hats that American
Girl Ideas designed. Hazel, MyAG 21, is my 50's doll for these
pictures.
Oh thank you all so much!! It was so fun to make! All the dishes (including the coffee pot), except for the cheese grater and silverware, were my husband's grandmother's childhood doll dishes. I was so tickled to be able to use something she treasured enough to keep for 80 years! The love of dolls is timeless, I suppose! :)
I think handmade scenes and items are always so much more interesting than store bought ones. In addition to representing a scene like the diner here, there's the added dimension of knowing that it came from re-purposed materials and a person's creativity.
WOW Holly!!! Makes me wonder why I spent so much money on the OG Diner! Your Snack Shack is great!!! Good job!

ReplyDeleteHolly, you are so creative!!! Looks wonderful!! I would love to know where you got the percolator coffee pot? Sharon
ReplyDeleteThank you!! The coffee pot actually belonged to my husband's grandmother. It was one of her childhood toys. :)
DeleteGreat job! Very impressive. Madelon
