My Life As...Dolls are trying to keep up with the latest doll companies. Let me say these newer dolls are CUTE! More activities and ethnic dolls are available! *Note these dolls have an upper chest plate with a cloth torso and are washable PVC. A GREAT alternative as "first time" doll or as sibling to other 18" dolls. (AG, OG, JG). I love them! :-)
Expect to see the My Life As...aisle updated at Wal-Mart this fall.

ReplyDeleteWow! Their dolls have really started to become non-creepy!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited!!!!!, MY LIFE AS DOLLS LINE just started showing up on Walmart CANADA (B.C.)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete*From Julie's doll mom:*
ReplyDeleteI like the new softer face mold. And I could really dig that sofa bed, if it weren't pink and purple.
I'll have to check it out. I really like the locker.
ReplyDeleteI saw these at Walmart today but I noticed that it doesn't say Madame Alexander anywhere on the box. Is it possible these are not made by Madame Alexander like the previous ones? I'd also love to see that snack cart you mentioned. I'm not sure if you posted a picture but I only see the couch.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't get authorization to post the photo of the MY LIFE AS..SNACK STAND, but I can describe it - its (plastic) white with two posts on either side (like a lemonade stand) and has a plastic pink/white stripes awning. It has two lower shelves for displaying sweets. It comes with a register, money, cupcakes, smoothies, heart shaped cookies and a couple of signs, one of which says Bake Sale. As soon as I get another photo I will post so please check back.
DeleteThank you for the quick response. The snack stand sounds awesome. Do you know anything definitive about whether these dolls are made by Madame Alexander?
DeleteYes, Mme Alexander makes a few doll lines for different stores. WHAT A DOLL is sold in KMART

AND MY LIFE AS...for Walmart.
Hi Rhonda, I just wanted to let you know that I emails Madame Alexander and they confirmed that they are no longer producing the dolls for My Life and that these new dolls are not affiliated with them.
DeleteThank you so much for this information.
DeleteAs promised - photos of Snack Stand can be found here: http://livingadollslife.blogspot.com/2014/08/my-life-asfall-items-in-store-photos.html
ReplyDeleteDolly And Me can be found at Dilliards.
ReplyDeletei have a question my daughter want the my life as a ballerina, however is looking forward to combing her dolls hair and playing with it. do you know if the ballerinas hair long and would look good out of the ballerina bun?
ReplyDeleteThe hair is long, only dolls with shorter hair wear the hair down in packaging, a ballerina bun would almost need long hair to create the style. The hair is rooted and the newer dolls have very nice silky hair great for play.
