One thing that I "wish" all of Lydia's hats had, are navy or black elastic, not white. It is very obvious against her black hair. I found the best way to hide the elastic is to pull her hair forward on both sides in front.
Then when gathering it into a low ponytail or braid, roll the sides closely to her head and tie it all back. This way her hair in front is over the elastic.
I couldn't get Lydia's hair to stay in a ponytail or braid at all. It's just too slippery. I'm dressing her up as Elsa for a project I'm working on...I already had the blond wig but needed to make a hairnet out of the foot of an old pair of pantyhose to keep her own hair out of the way. Just sharing an idea.
