How to Make Cotton Candy

 Supplies:

• RIT dye in color of choice
• Cup of hot water
• Cotton balls - unwind flat strips
• Card stock or index cards

 Directions:

1. Fill cup with hot water
2. Sprinkle a teaspoon of RIT dye in cup, mix well
3. Slowly place cotton in water, let soak 4 hours.
4. Remove cotton over sink, let drain, gently squeeze excess water.
5. Allow cotton to dry on paper towels/ plates.
6. Role card stock or index cards into cones.
7. Glue cotton candy labels onto cones.
8. Once cotton is dry, glue cotton to the cone, winding and building. Adding glue as you build so it adheres to itself.
