*REVIEW* Cecile Parlor Outfit

This outfit is my favorite.  Cecile wears this outfit while in the family parlor. This is featured in her first book.

It comes with a white shirt, vest, skirt, socks, shoes and 2 purple ribbons.

I like it best without the vest, but I love the details in the outfit and love all the items that come with it.

I really love Cecile and Marie Grace items. I am so upset that AG discontinued it and stopped making outfits for those dolls. I remember when I bought her in 2012. At first they did not have anymore but then they tried to sell me Truly Me 46. I told the salesperson that it is not the same and I was appalled that she would even try to pretend that the two dolls were one in the same. I pointed out that Cecile is unique and is historical with a collection.  She then was able to find a Cecile doll in the back. Was I happy to get her!

    1. I understand Linda. I felt the same way about the old Felicity. I loved the NOLA stories so much that I bought my mom Marie Grace. I did not want one without the other. Such a great story of race and friendship. Good lessons all around.

  3. We started collecting AG dolls in 2013. I was lucky to have someone in my area that bought Marie-Grace during the Jills Steal and Deals, and her daughter didn't want it. When I bought it, I thought my daughters would want her, but they had their heart set on others. So Marie-Grace became mine. At some point Cecile will be in our collection. I love Marie-Grace and Cecile's story. I wasn't aware that African Americans were treated different in New Orleans, since that isn't really covered in history books. I thought it all came down to Spanish rule versus French rule, so interesting. I really would love to have Cecile's story in the 6 volume set.

Cecile's outfit is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

    1. If you like ebooks, both Amazon and B&N sell the complete NOLA series.

  5. Oh, I love the NOLA series. Cecile and Marie-Grace are wonderful historical characters!

Your Cecile is gorgeous. I cannot cannot believe someone tried to sell you TM46 as a replacement for Cecile. How tacky. I'm glad they were able to find her for you!!
