Boy Story to Debut Action Dolls at the 2017 New York Toy Fair:

Company Promises to Boost Boys’ Emotional Intelligence

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 2, 2017
New York, New York / Tampa, Florida

They’re classic toys with a twist: Boy Story is debuting its line of Action Dolls—18” ball jointed boy dolls—at the 2017 New York Toy Fair. A rising star from Kickstarter, Boy Story introduces its dolls, along with a solemn Toymaker’s Oath: We promise to bring children fun today, smiles tomorrow, and joy always.

Remember the toys of your youth? We all grow up, but memories of our favorite stuffed toy, block set, or bicycle can always make us smile.

We launched Boy Story on Kickstarter with one goal in mind: Make an awesome toy that brings smiles now for a better future. That’s just what we did. We designed and produced something the toy market was oddly missing: boy dolls.

Boy Story will be at Booth 4530 of the 2017 New York Toy Fair, wedged into a teeny Launch Pad spot making big memories. Please share our story. We are taking interview appointments in advance. Please contact us if you would like to learn more about our products, how we began, and where we’re going.

Toys and play prepare children for the future. In America, there are more than 70 million dads—Dads who are spending more and more time with their kids. As parenting tides shift, Boy Story fills in a gap. Boy Story’s dolls provide a rare toy that encourages boys to learn how to be confidants and caretakers, improving emotional intelligence, nurturing, empathy, and relational skills.

We didn’t leave the girls out either. Boy Story lets girls know they are equal. They play equally, learn equally, work equally, and live equally.

Available for the first time to retailers at the New York Toy Fair will be Boy Story’s Equality Line dolls. Made in partnership with UN Women’s HeForShe movement, proceeds from the sale of these special edition dolls will directly go to fund UN Women’s work in progressing gender equality globally for women and girls.

Boy Story's Action Dolls retail for $99 separately or $115 with books. The HeForShe Special Edition doll retails for $120 and includes a branded soccer ball. 35% of the proceeds of sales of HeForShe products goes to the UN. All dolls come in keepsake boxes with magnetic closures.
