*REVIEW* Vintage GE Retro Kitchen 1950s

With rumors of Maryellen getting a pink refrigerator for her diner, I saw this two piece GE kitchen set while antiquing. I couldn't pass it up!

Most of the pieces are 13" tall, 6.5" deep, and 7.75" wide, corner pieces are bit wider. This originally came in a 9-piece set
The sink and washing machine had electrical parts. Two corner pieces, stove top, fridge, dual range oven and two counter top pieces.

The lazy Susan actually turns.

Working cabinets, drawers and removable cutting board. (True to color). This set is in mint condition. The support piece under the cutting board is the only spot that has a chip.

Sliding storage.

Matching additional counter space. (True to color) Retro pink was very popular.

Lots of storage.

My AG friends have already seen this and they all urged me to get it. $70 total for the pair.

  3. That is so cool! Great find. Is this something that was sold for play, or was it something that was made as a model? Isn't it interesting what was built back then, as far as being close to the real thing? For example, my sister had a toy iron that plugged in and heated up. She also had an ironing board, so I guess she ironed her doll clothes.

  4. What a great find! I can't wait to see your doll set up. I just love your scenes with the historical dolls and their rooms. I know your 1960 kitchen scene will be even better with this set.
