*Review* BeForever Samantha's Gazebo

My hubby did it again and bought Samantha's Garden Gazebo for me! (Free shipping)

I was surprised this wasn't packed better.

The roof snaps into place.

A HUGE plastic bowl!!

Don't let little brothers get a hold of this, they will use it as a shield!

They have aged the patina which is nice.

The octopus gingerbread arms pop easily into place.

It's made entirely of plastic. The posts are hollow and the filigree is thick, it would be very difficult to break this gazebo.

The floor folds in the center, but is not wood. It's a thick laminate with the appearance of wood.

The batteries are not included so be sure to get some in order to use it right away. 3 button batteries per lantern. (12 total).

This is what the gazebo looks like without the roof, open and airy with lots of room inside!

The two back panels have wider ledges for sitting, but I set both of Samantha's wicker chairs inside to show how roomy it is. Don't be worried about taking this outdoors. It can be wiped clean. I wouldn't leave it sitting in the sun as it may warp, but the dirt, mud pies and dust will wipe clean.

This is a charming piece! Reminds of Disney's Carnation Cafe Main Street USA. It is surprisingly EASY to assemble, durable though plastic, roomy inside - 2x2x3', gorgeously historically accurate, and a MUST HAVE for any doll collection. ANY doll would look wonderful photographed with this gazebo. I love the ice cream parlor, it is heavy, solid and well made - I was nervous about this piece, but it is equally impressive. If I could own just two large pieces from Samantha's collection, the ice cream parlor and the gazebo would be my choice over beds, chairs, bikes and art sets any day! Versatile small town charm in every moment of play.
RUN and place your order.

  1. I've read several mixed reviews about this piece. I probably wont purchase it mainly because I don't have room! LOL If I were to buy it, I would wait until December to see if they put it at least 30% off. For the price of $200, the floor should have at least been real wood and should have included batteries for the lanterns. I was laughing at the shield, giant bowl, and octopus arms jokes!!! :D :D

    1. I also took the advantage of free shipping and got this piece. But the batteries are included. Rhonda, check closely cause it DOES have the batteries inserted in the lanterns. You have to open the lantern and take out a piece of paper.

  3. Very cute, nice hubby! Mine wouldn't have a clue what to buy me when it came to doll stuff unless I had a catalog and circled it LOL! I agree that the batteries should have been included, that is kind of pathetic.

    1. Yes but that would fill up the space. The dolls would have to be seated. It's a great piece!!

    2. Would the table plus 4 wicker chairs not fit, then? Or could you have 2 dolls sit on the railing seats (without it looking weird) and the table and 2 chairs? Thanks!

    3. Not enough room for more than 2 chairs. Definitely not the table too. Its why I used the small round AG table.

  10. I saw in on display at the store a couple of weeks ago- fell in love! For the price of Grace's Bakery, I would much sooner purchase Samantha's Gazebo and Ice Cream Parlor... not that I really have the means or space to buy either of them LOL! I would LOVE to see an outdoor grassy photoshoot at some point ;)
