*NEWS* AG Website Changes - Loss of Links

American Girl has updated their website. This means you will have to re-enter your account info for any express checkout. It also means ALL previous links are LOST. We are now unable to view older Mattel collection items from a doll's collection!

LADL is full of reference links that now lead to nowhere. Over the next few weeks I will be working to update the blog to resolve this issue because I do not want this information lost. We need former collection info to refer to. Needless to say this is very upsetting. Mattel seems to have all erased the former method of things.

I apologize in advance if you come across any dead links when reading any posts here on LADL. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

  1. I just got the e-mail about the change. I have to say that as big of a pain in the neck some of this is, I think it's worth it. I had an incident involving their old website which made me question just how secure their site was. Perhaps I was right and they realized it too. That is a shame though about all the older info, I know I have some stuff bookmarked that I'm sure is gone too. :(

    It also appears that all the reviews previously left for the BeForever items are gone. Reviews for the older items are still there.

    I've signed up for e-mails 4 times, and I still get NOTHING!!

    1. I had a terrible time too, I finally switched which e-mail address I wanted it going to and I finally got my emails.

  6. Wow, I just checked AG's website and all of the historical dolls old outfits are gone! ;( It's terrible! They also changed their shopping menu. To me, it's harder to see the items. There aren't any reviews either.

  8. I don't see AGs website as an improvement over the previous one. I agree with the above comment. It is so much harder to see. Removing the reviews was not a good thing, I'm also upset that my app only contains the current catalog. All previous ones were erased. I wnjoyed looking at past issues that were easily stored in catalog app. Wish I could get them back.

  9. That's odd, as just today I viewed the page for the now sold out older version of "A smart girl's guide to style" so I guess a few things aren't kicked off the website yet. It is sad though, because we need those stock photos and such of doll's collections.
