*Opening* GOTY 2015 Grace Thomas and MORE

FEDEX pulled up and dropped two boxes! This is what was in the first one!

Grace's bracelet is so pretty and fits better than Saige's bracelet. The closure is different and makes for easy on/off.

This is her City Outfit - Super Duper Adorbs! Velcro closures with custom "Grace Girl of the Year" labels, sequin detail on the heart and cute two tone flats.

Bonbon is a cute, soft body pup with stitched eyes. She is in a "SIT" position and can not stand on all four legs. This is my first AG pet and I love her.

Grace is a beauty! Her coloring is so fresh, soft blushed cheeks, light freckles and feathered brows. Her eyes are like Kirsten's!

The side swept bangs are a nice change and her braid is sweet, though I won't be keeping it in.

Her shiny hair is highlighted with a soft body wave.

Ella is happy to finally have Grace home!

I am so happy to have her as part of my collection. She does look like a combination of McKenna and Nellie.

You can see the opening video for mini Grace!

  3. Rhonda,

Just wondering what you think of Grace's hair quality? I read that someone thought the hair wig was thinner than on other dolls, and I was curious as to what you felt. They said the hair was nice, just thin. Thoughts?

    1. Grace's hair is SO SUPER SHINY and luxe, soft, silky gorgeous! It IS thinner than other long haired dolls, it's comparable to Ivy's hair as far as thickness. Julie's hair is as soft though thicker in hand. No wig cap problems, the color is multi-toned and just beautiful.

  5. Can you please take a picture of her hair out of the braid?

  6. I took our Grace doll out of the braid and got an unpleasant surprise. Where the wig bang piece joined the rest of the cap, there was a big lump. I went back to AGP Denver and checked out two more dolls' hair. Each wig cap feels a little different. I'm going to take out the braid on Grace #2 later tonight. The assistant manager agreed the cap felt too thick on Grace #1, where the two pieces joined. I know it's just a doll, but I really, really like her.

  7. Is the hair all wavy and if it is how do you get it back to normal?

    1. Her hair is not all wavy, only the braid once removed remains crimped. You can restore hair by referring to : http://livingadollslife.blogspot.com/2014/09/hot-water-treatment-doll-hair.html

  8. Rhonda, can you remind us of when the next free shipping period usually is? Do they do something around Valentine's Day? If I can save $20 or more in shipping costs, it might just be worth the wait.

  10. I finally got my Grace this week. Decided I couldn't wait 'til Christmas! I hadn't bought an AG doll in many months (Samantha was the last one, after her re-introdution) and was excited when the box showed up at my door.

Grace is without a doubt a gorgeous girl. I'd almost say she's even glamorous, though the freckles do help her retain a girl next door character. Her hair is fantastic, very glossy with beautiful highlights, though it could be a bit thicker. It is very silky. I was surprised to see some of it fall right out shortly after taking the hair net off, but it stopped after some finger brushing.

Grace is very bright-eyed, and I'm glad to see a brunette GOTY. The charm bracelet is a fun extra. I got her "welcome gifts" too, but not sure they're worth the $. Still, they're staying!
