*Opening* My Life As.....Doll - GOTY 2015 (Ella)

I have had my eye on this doll for a while when she debuted in August.

I want her as Ella - GOTY 2015 Grace's BFF.
I don't own any My Life As...dolls and really like the newly revamped line.

She is ADORABLE!!!! Her eyelashes are LONG! She has big brown sleep eyes and soft face paint.

She has a very cute outfit with multiple pieces = bonus!

Made like a Mme. Alexander doll with an upper chest plate, and soft squishy vinyl she is made by CITITOY.

Her soft curls are rooted, she does have a center part that spans her entire head. It required finessing to get it this full in back.

I was able to cut the pink streaks out of her hair.

I absolutely love her! She is so cute and the glasses add the final touch!

  1. Congratulations! She is a really pretty doll! She looks almost like she could be your Sissy's sister! :)

Yep, she's the spittin' image of "Ella". She also looks like she could be the twins older sister!

    1. I just bought the AA MLA School Girl doll for this reason. The glasses are a slightly different shape, but she did not have pink streaks in her hair. The same doll can be seen in the post about how the sweater stains the doll's arms. Needless to say, I took the sweater off her right away upon reading that. Note: this is the slightly older School Girl with the teal skirt and black glasses. I would have bought the newer one with the bow tie, but her glasses are red.

  3. I like her much better without the pink streak. I think it would be better if it were removable, but the cut is not even noticeable. Great job and thanks for sharing!

  6. I got her also for Whitney's Birthday last month. She is super cute!! I love the change in the face molds from the old dolls. She has 3 of the older version dolls when they were called Friends Boutique. They are what got us started in American girl dolls :)

How that you have had this pretty girl for a bit, how is her hair to fix and comb or curl? I've been wanting a doll like this, but I'm worried her hair will be a hot mess!

  8. Her hair needs NO combing! Her hair is soft and silky...low maintenance if you can believe it. I find water and fingertips are the best way to fluff those amazing curls. I adore this doll, she is even cuter in person.
